What Charging Current is Suitable for Bosch Batteries?

We offer Bosch chargers with 2A, 4A, and 6A output. So, which one is suitable for your bike? It depends.

The larger the battery capacity, the longer it will take to charge. For larger batteries (e.g., Bosch PowerTube 625 Vertical) and for those who frequently travel on their bikes, we recommend 4A and 6A chargers.

For smaller batteries (e.g., Bosch PowerPack 400 Frame) or riders who take shorter trips or use their bikes less often, a 2A charger will suffice.

2A Charger:

• PowerPack 400: 50% in approximately 2.8h, 100% in 6h.
• PowerTube 625: 50% in approximately 4.6h, 100% in 9.3h.

4A Charger:

• PowerPack 400: 50% in approximately 1.5h, 100% in 3.5h.
