The Bosch Control Unit is the heart of the Bosch Smart System. It enables the control of the entire e-bike using a compact remote control, and the integrated LED display shows the most important information about your e-bike. This allows you to enjoy a simple handlebar design without an additional display.
Features of the Bosch LED Remote for the Smart System
- Bosch e-bike control unit: The control center of the entire e-bike.
- Battery status and support level display: Shows the battery status and selected support level.
- Mode switching and headlight control: Allows switching riding modes and controlling the headlight.
- Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy pairing: Connects to a smartphone.
- Optional control of the Bosch Kiox 300 Smart System display: Allows controlling the display.
Note: When replacing the control unit (LED Remote, Purion 200, System Controller), it is necessary to teach the component using the Bosch Service Tool. Contact your nearest specialist dealer.
Installation of the Bosch LED Remote
- LED Remote mount: Can be mounted in front of or behind the brake lever.
- Control unit positioning: The plus and minus buttons should be perpendicular to the ground.
- Built-in battery: Allows turning on the e-bike. After long periods of inactivity, charging via USB-C may be necessary. Normally, the remote charges during riding from the bike’s battery.
- Battery replacement: In the event of a failure, the LED Remote battery can be replaced (Torx key required).
- Connection to the motor: Using the appropriate Bosch display cable available in different lengths.

Support Indicators
The LED color to the right of the Bosch logo indicates the current support level:
- Grey: Support off
- Green: Eco
- Blue: Tour
- Purple: EMTB
- Red: Turbo
Battery level indicator
- Blue bar: 20% battery capacity.
- White bar: 10% battery capacity.
- Orange bars: Below 30%.
- Red diodes: 10% or less.
- Flashing red diode: Battery empty, power only for lighting.
- All red diodes: Critical error.
- All orange diodes: Non-critical error.
