SpeedBox 1.3 for Shimano + E-Tube port (EP8)

The SpeedBox 1.3 allows you to deactivate the speed limiter of your e-bike. After installing the device, the actual data is displayed on the e-bike’s screen up to 23 km/h.

Compared to previous versions, this new product also connects to the E-Tube port of the motor. Therefore, it is necessary that the e-bike motor where you plan to install the new SpeedBox for Shimano has one free E-Tube connector available. If you don’t have a free E-Tube port, choose the “+E-Tube port” option.

E-bikes that have a Di2 shifter, for example, or an on/off button integrated into the bike frame (Satellite System ON/OFF Switch: EW-SW100, EW-SW300) usually don’t have a free E-Tube port.

How does SpeedBox 1.3 for Shimano work?

This product also features easy operation. You can control this tuning chip using the LIGHT button. If the lights are off, you can ride at unlimited speed. You can simply deactivate the tuning function by turning the lights on. If you want the tuning to always be active, regardless of the light status, connect the SpeedBox fork clamp to the screw terminal marked “-”. If your bike has no lights, SpeedBox will always be active.

Installation

To install the SpeedBox in your bike, we use color-coded plugs equipped with a key, making installation really simple. Additionally, we have prepared instructions and tutorial videos so that any customer can install the SpeedBox by themselves. Even if you encounter installation issues, you can always contact us for help.

If you are preparing to install the SpeedBox on a brand-new bike, make sure you have ridden it for at least 10 kilometers.
