We do not recommend updating your electric bike’s software!
A reliable 3rd-generation tuning product for your Giant e-bike (2017-2022 models, except SyncDrive Pro with RideControl Go).
SpeedBox disables the speed limit, allowing you to enjoy riding without restrictions. After installation, your e-bike’s display will show accurate data, such as maximum speed, average speed, daily distance, and range.
How does SpeedBox 3.0 work?
You can activate it from your bike’s screen. After pressing the WALK button, a speed of 9.9 km/h (6.2 mph) will briefly appear on the display. From that moment, you can ride without speed limits – 40 km/h, 50 km/h, or even over 60 km/h.
Pressing the WALK button again will deactivate the tuning. A speed of 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph) will appear, and the 25 km/h speed limit will be active again. The bike will operate as it did before SpeedBox installation.
If your bike does not have the WALK function, you can activate SpeedBox using the – + – + buttons. Deactivation works the same way.
To set the maximum speed, toggle between the following modes: Turbo – EMTB – Tour – Eco – Tour – EMTB – Turbo. After doing this, the current speed limit will appear on the display. Changing the maximum speed is done by briefly pressing the WALK button or rotating the wheel 360°. A speed of 1.5 km/h corresponds to a 15 km/h limit, 2.0 to 20 km/h, 2.5 to 25 km/h, 3.0 to 30 km/h, and 9.9 to 99 km/h. The last displayed limit after five seconds will be saved.
Installation
We use color-coded plugs with a key to mount the SpeedBox on your bike, making installation really simple. Additionally, we’ve prepared instructions and tutorial videos so that any customer can install SpeedBox independently. If you have any issues with installation, you can always contact us for help.
If you are installing SpeedBox on a brand-new bike, make sure you have ridden at least 10 kilometers on it first.
Warning
We warn that using tuned bikes may be illegal under the laws of some countries. The manufacturer is not responsible for damages resulting from the use of the SpeedBox product. Electric bikes with SpeedBox cannot be used on public roads or bike paths. Electric bikes equipped with SpeedBox should only be used on private property and at your own risk.
